BNL race 2

Unfortunately, things did not go our way last weekend in Ostricourt during the second round of the @iameseriesbenelux.

During practice, we struggled to find the pace and tried everything we could to improve it.

Qualifying: unfortunately, I made a small mistake on my fastest lap, which meant I had to start every heat from P22.

Heat 1: P22 to P22. At the start, another driver turned in while I was on the inside. I managed to recover to P22 with a bent steering rod.

Heat 2: P22 to P15 to DNF. After just a few laps, I had already climbed to P15, but then another driver drove over my kart and I was unable to continue.

Heat 3: P22 to P15 to P13. Finally, a relatively normal heat. I crossed the line in P15 and moved up to P13 after penalties were applied.

Heat 4: P26 to P18. After finally finding a little more pace in the dry, it started raining on Saturday. Unfortunately, we could not prepare the kart in time, so I had to start from the back. That meant starting all over again. I already had very little racing experience at this circuit, and none at all in the rain. I eventually climbed to P18, but was still missing a lot of time.

Heat 5: P22 to P17. We were still unable to find enough pace in the wet.

Final B: P25 to P15 to P20. At the start, I unfortunately got boxed in and immediately received a front fairing penalty. Fortunately, our pace in the rain had improved considerably, and I crossed the finish line in P15. The penalty dropped me to P20.

Unfortunately, this was a weekend to forget. A lot of bad luck and several problems made things difficult. In two months, it will be time for the third round in Genk.
