BNL race 5

Last weekend marked the final round of the IAME Series Benelux.

Thursday: We spent the day testing, and the pace looked promising.

Qualifying: P12 in my group and P35 out of 81 drivers overall. A solid qualifying session.

Heat 1: P12 to P11 to P18. I crossed the line in P11, but unfortunately received a front fairing penalty for an incident I could not avoid, which dropped me to P18.

Heat 2: P12 to P13. A solid race.

Heat 3: P12 to P13.

Heat 4: P12 to P27 to P14. It was raining during this heat, and I was forced off in the second corner. That meant starting all over again from the back. I then had a very strong recovery drive to P14.

Heat 5: P12 to P10 to P25. On the second lap, another driver used me as a brake and forced me completely off the track. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue because of engine problems.

B Final: Due to the bad luck throughout the weekend, I had to start the B Final from P15. At the first start, I moved from P15 to P10. A major crash then caused a red flag. My kart suffered quite a lot of damage, but fortunately my mechanic Sebas managed to repair it in time for the restart. I then drove from P6 to P1.

Despite an unlucky weekend, we managed to get the maximum result in the final. I also finished the championship in P37 out of 125 competitors.

Next week, it is time for the final race of the season: the Ladies Cup in Le Mans. We will keep you updated.🏁
