IAME Ladies Cup in Le Mans. 💕🇫🇷
n a strong field of 36 female drivers from countries including Japan, England and France, I finished 9th in the final, despite engine problems.
The highlight of the weekend for me was the third heat. Starting from P10, I drove to victory. Together with my mechanic, Sebastiaan Koppenol, we had the kart set up perfectly, which allowed me to make some great overtakes in that heat. I felt strong and knew this was my chance.
I started the final from P4, but a carburettor issue meant I was lacking power. The engine was not pulling properly, and I could not keep up with the pace of the leading group. That was frustrating, because I felt there was more in it.
Even so, I look back on this weekend and the whole season with a good feeling.💪
With this result, I close out my karting season. Now the focus shifts to the next step towards Formula 4.🚀
